Voltan Lähienergia strengthens its board — two experienced energy and real estate executives join

Voltan Lähienergia has appointed two experienced executives to its board: real estate investment specialist Jani Nokkanen and energy sector veteran Sirpa-Helena Sormunen.

We are pleased to announce that Jani Nokkanen (Co-Head of Real Estate, CIO & Partner at Urban Partners) and Sirpa-Helena Sormunen (Chair of the Board of Gasum, previously Chief Legal Officer at Fortum, among other roles) have joined Voltan's board.

Strengthening the board is a natural step as our growth story progresses. We have already built a strong foothold in the large-scale heating and cooling markets in Finland, and our work for cleaner heating continues at full speed.

Jani Nokkanen brings to Voltan's board a deep understanding of real estate investment and property development. Through Urban Partners, he has broad insight into precisely the markets Voltan serves, as well as a strong grasp of what real estate investors expect from energy solutions today and in the future.

Sirpa-Helena Sormunen is one of Finland's most experienced energy sector executives. Through her role as Chair of Gasum's board and her long career at Fortum, she has a unique understanding of energy market structures, regulation and the management of large organisations. Her expertise is invaluable to Voltan as we continue to scale our business.
